We urge you to carefully consider this document prior to securing a reservation. When you reserve a charter through HarborDriftLeaf, you are consenting to the stipulated refund terms.
Cancellation and Refund Framework
Exceeding 72 Hours Prior to Charter
Qualified for: Entire refund excluding administrative charges
Processing Duration: 5-7 business days
Administrative Cost: €50 for credit card operations
Prerequisites: Submission must be in written form via email or telephone
24-72 Hours Before Charter Commences
Qualified for: Half the complete charter expense
Processing Duration: 7-10 business days
Administrative Cost: €25 subtracted from the refund
Prerequisites: Justifiable grounds needed; handling costs applied
Within 24 Hours of Charter Start
Qualified for: Refunds are not provided
Exception: Emergency situations might be taken into account
Alternative: Credit towards a future charter might be granted at the discretion of the management
Prerequisites: Proof needed for claims due to emergencies
Refunds Due to Adverse Weather
Our Commitment to Safety
We prioritize safety above all else. Should conditions not be safe as determined by our qualified captain, altering your plans won’t result in any financial loss:
- Complete Refund: If the charter cannot be rescheduled, a full refund is extended
- Reschedule: Charter can be moved with no extra charge to a subsequent available slot
- Charter Credit: Credit offered valid for a period of one year from the original booking date
Weather Evaluation Protocol
The evaluation for weather includes:
- Assessment of wind intensity and direction
- Evaluation of swell magnitude and ocean status
- Predictions related to visibility and rainfall
- Advisories and warnings from the Coast Guard
- The captain's professional safety assessment
Finalization Time: Decisions related to weather cancellations are finalized no later than 4 hours prior to the planned departure time.
Refunds for Medical Emergencies
Conditions for Emergency Consideration
We are empathetic to the sudden occurrences of health emergencies. The circumstances below might qualify for exceptional consideration:
- Immediate medical ailments or injuries demanding hospitalization
- A death within the close family circle
- Urgent military summoning or deployment
- Mandatory jury service or legal subpoena
- Natural calamities that impact travel
Documentation for Emergency Refunds
For processing refund requests due to emergencies, the following should be provided:
- Verification from a healthcare institution or medical certificates
- Certificate of death (if relevant)
- Official orders from military entities
- Summoning notice for court or jury obligations
- Emergency declarations or travel advisories
Procedures: Refunds related to emergencies are managed within 3-5 business days following the submission of necessary documentary evidence.
Cancellations for Operational Reasons
Technical Difficulties
In the event that the assigned yacht is inoperable due to technical issues:
- Alternate Vessel: An endeavor will be made to allocate a yacht of similar standing
- Complete Refund: Should there be no alternative vessels available
- Proportionate Refund: If the backup vessel has varied pricing
- Compensation: Additional recompense may be considered for any inconvenience experienced
Unavailability of Crew
In the unusual event that certified personnel are not available:
- Efforts will be made to arrange another crew when possible
- Complete refund if the charter cannot be executed
- Opportunity to reschedule at no extra expense
Finalizing Refunds
Method of Reimbusement
The undoing of charges will be carried out via the original mode of payment:
- Credit Cards: A period of 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: A duration of 7-10 business days
- Cash or Check: 3-5 business days
Charges for Processing
Credit Card Operations
A €50 charge applies for cancellations beyond 72 hours before
Bank Transfer Operations
For all refunds via bank transfer, a €25 charge applies
International Operations
For international transactions, supplementary fees may be applicable
Charter Credits
Instances for Offering Credits
Under certain scenarios, credit for charters could be proposed in place of refunds:
- Last-minute cancellations (under 24 hours notice)
- Cancellations due to weather
- Elective requests to reschedule
- Operational hitches
Credit Specifications
- Valid For: A year from the date of issue
- Transferability: Credits cannot be exchanged among different individuals
- Value: Equivalent to the full value of the charter without any subtraction of administrative charges
- Application: Applicable to any available future charter
- Extension: There is no extension after a year
Refunding for Partial Services
Disruptions During Service
If your charter experience is affected or shortened due to events we are accountable for:
- A refund proportionate to the unused portion of the charter
- A voucher for an upcoming charter of the same value
- Complimentary service upgrades or additions
Guest-Centric Disturbances
Should the charter be prematurely terminated because of actions or safety lapses by guests:
- No refund will be provided for the remainder of the time
- The complete payment is still obligatory
- Potentially extra fees could be applied
Addressing Refund Disagreements
In instances of discord over a refund judgment, you are entitled to:
- Request our managing team to analyze your case
- Submit supplementary proof or documents
- Approach consumer advocacy groups for mediation
- Utilize legal channels as allowed by the law

Step 3: Assessment and Completion
We will acknowledge the receipt of your claim within 24 hours, appraise it in reference to our policy, finalize on the action within 48 hours, and proceed with endorsed refunds as per the mentioned time spans.
Essential Reminders
- All refund claims have to be lodged in writing
- Refunds are issued in € notwithstanding the currency used during payment
- Securing travel insurance is highly advised
- These terms can alter, given a notice of 30 days
- Refunds adhere to applicable tax laws and regulations
